Stacey & Vince - Mount Washington Wedding

From their first email Stacey and Vince were specific on the type of photos they wanted, less predictable, ‘cookie cutter,’ and more real moments. I love when my clients have a specific vision and it’s something I keep in mind as I go about documenting the day. Some highlights:

  1. They put together custom playlists for getting ready, cocktail hour, dinner, etc. The jams on the party bus were so fun!

  2. The ring bearer passed the rings over to Vince in a football shaped purse (he’s a football coach) and Stacey carried it for the rest of the day.

  3. Stacey is a true animal lover and I have so many photos of her stopping and meeting dogs throughout the day. We also took plenty of photos of Vince and their dog Abigail for her desk.

  4. The photos of them waiting in the stairwell at Monterey Bay and walking across the street at sunset are my personal favorites. I can almost feel the joy and excitement of the day when I look at them.

Their wedding was a perfect representation of their relationship and that’s what I want for all couples. Something I remind everyone is ‘it’s your day,’ make it feel the most you. Congrats again to Stacey and Vince, your day was an absolute blast!!

Steph's Studio Sessio

I was so excited when Stephanie reached out to schedule her session. I was even more excited when we decided to shoot in her super cool studio. Luckily we were able to schedule when a good amount of her work was home. The space is beautiful in it’s own right but I think having all of her large scale pieces around really turned up the vibe.

We consulted on outfits that matched her style, the space and how she wanted to feel. The first is simple and clean, perfect for marketing. The rest she can also use for marketing or just to remind herself what an absolute babe she is. I love when we can squeeze a few different purposes into one shoot ;)

My vision for boudoir (really any session) is to feel and wear what makes you feel awesome. Like the most confident version of yourself.

You look your best in whatever feels comfortable. It doesn’t have to be lingerie. If you haven’t worn a real bra in a year, you don’t have to start now!

Before you order a bunch of lacey, strappy whatchamacallits that should come with instructions, look at what you’re showing up in everyday. How can we make that work? If you’re thinking of a boudoir session I encourage you to scroll through and be inspired.

You can check out all of her AMAZING work here.

Thanks for letting me share these with the world Steph. I think we nailed it :)

P.S. You are now obligated to have me back when your next exhibit is finished!

Amy - Branding Session

I was so excited when Amy contacted me to book her branding session. If you know me you know I love therapy, my therapist, and all things personal growth. I am so grateful when therapists and other healers choose to work with me. I love the idea that I can play a small part in helping people find the help they need.

Amy sent me a Pinterest board of her dream workspace and together we chose East Nashville Greenhouse as our location. We had so much playing in and out of this adorable space.

If you are planning a branding session use these photos as inspo! Amy brought two dresses, a fun robe, jewelry, a journal, and her favorite mugs. She also had her makeup professionally done.

I always suggest bringing a friend along to any session but especially branding and boudoir. As luck would have it Amy’s best friend happened to be in town and came along! I provide an assistant but having someone you know to hype you up can make such a difference! Comfort is the key to confidence :) A fire playlist helps too!

Big thanks to Amy for trusting me to photograph such a special time in her life ❤️You can check out her offerings on Instagram here.

Orange Family Session

Just two days before Christmas I met up with the Orange Family for a family session in Short Gap, WV. In a case of great timing, their session aligned perfectly with my visit home for the holidays.

While we were hoping for snow we lucked out with an almost warm overcast day. They arrived dressed to impress; although Maverick did not want to keep his hat on! Who doesn’t love a baby in Carhartt?!
