Stacey & Vince - Mount Washington Wedding

From their first email Stacey and Vince were specific on the type of photos they wanted, less predictable, ‘cookie cutter,’ and more real moments. I love when my clients have a specific vision and it’s something I keep in mind as I go about documenting the day. Some highlights:

  1. They put together custom playlists for getting ready, cocktail hour, dinner, etc. The jams on the party bus were so fun!

  2. The ring bearer passed the rings over to Vince in a football shaped purse (he’s a football coach) and Stacey carried it for the rest of the day.

  3. Stacey is a true animal lover and I have so many photos of her stopping and meeting dogs throughout the day. We also took plenty of photos of Vince and their dog Abigail for her desk.

  4. The photos of them waiting in the stairwell at Monterey Bay and walking across the street at sunset are my personal favorites. I can almost feel the joy and excitement of the day when I look at them.

Their wedding was a perfect representation of their relationship and that’s what I want for all couples. Something I remind everyone is ‘it’s your day,’ make it feel the most you. Congrats again to Stacey and Vince, your day was an absolute blast!!

West End Overlook Micro Wedding

Madeline and Andrew pulled their micro wedding together in just three weeks and it was stunning!

We met outside the Duquesne Incline for photos before the ceremony. We started in the machine room and then the operators kindly let us on to a trolley for more photos.

She wore a white silk jumpsuit with matching shaw and white sparkly boots. I loved his velvet tux and custom cufflinks with photos of their cat. So cute! Her mom suggested a cascading bouquet. If you’re getting married soon, consider this option, they’re beautiful and so easy to photograph!

I loved their laidback approach, choosing to get married on a Thursday evening allowed for a chill city backdrop. We braved the off-and-on rain atop roof of the Elmer Clark pavilion for the ceremony. They had portable heaters placed to keep guests comfortable and wrote their own vows, exchanging inside jokes before rings. It was so fun to capture all of the funny and heartfelt reactions in everyone’s faces.

After the ceremony we headed downstairs for more photos against the Pittsburgh skyline. During photos dinner was delivered and set up. Again, so convenient, actively suggesting their ideas to my other couples!

We weren’t able to meet prior to the big day but it felt like we were old friends. Having clients I can laugh and have fun with is truly my favorite part of my job. They were so sweet and considerate and sent me home with so many cookies! Thank you Madeline and Andrew for trusting me with your wonderful day. I wish we could do it all again!
