I met up with Simey and Jerrold downtown on a Tuesday afternoon after they exchanged vows at their local courthouse. They wanted an engagement style shoot to commemorate the day as they have plans for larger celebrations abroad in the new year.

I LOVE shooting downtown during the week. There are less crowds to work around, more space to play and less photoshopping for me haha!

They showed up ready to roll and I think I think their carefree attitude really shines in their images. To me, its just as important to have posed photos as it is to have the candid, running through the streets shots. They were so fun and down for anything I threw at them!

I love that more of my couples are going for suits and a dressed up vibe. It really elevates the whole session. Check out all of Simey’s accessories, I died for her shoes!

We shot at the Allegheny County Courthouse courtyard, Mellon Square and One PPG Place. Thanks to Simey and Jerrold for having me document this day, I had a blast!

I’ve known Kelsey and Cody for over five years. They’ve been together twice as long (!!) and this past summer Cody proposed.
